Can I do my jail time on weekends so I don't lose my job?

A: This is up to the judge who handles your case. Most judges will let people do their jail time on the weekends as long as the sentence is not more than 10 days. You can also do any two consecutive weekdays if that works better for you. You have to report by 7:00 a.m., and you will be able to go home at 5:00 p.m. But you have to pay for the privilege of weekend jail time, and the fee is now $54 per day.
