A: Yes, if your friends have relevant information about your case. Your friends are not allowed to testify that you are a nice person, that you would never drive drunk, or things like that. If your friends were with you before, during, or after your arrest, they can testify about how much they saw you drink, what you ate, whether they think you were under the influence, etc. Your lawyer can issue a subpoena for your witnesses to appear in court, which requires their employers to let them off work if necessary.
